World Religions: An Introduction
Published in Paperback by Prometheus Books (April, 1995)
Average review score:

Didn't finishI really couldn't go on with this book. I had only gotten to the part on the Egyptian gods, and already there were too many inaccuracies. Oh well...
inaccurate and sometimes contradictoryThis book, which claims to be an introduction to the world's religions, spends 2/3 of its time discussing the development of Christianity. Even if the potential reader is a non-Christian or a Christian who seeks to rationalize Christianity with reason, this book has many errors and off-the-wall remarks which are misleading. For the Christian who basically holds to all the truth of the Bible, you are much better off consulting other books for knowledge about the other religions of the world.

Colonial Virginians and Their Maryland Relatives: A Genealogy of the Tucker Family and Also Families of Allen, Blackistone, Chandler, Ford, Gerard, Harmor, Hume, Monroe, Skaggs, Smith, Stevesson
Published in Paperback by Clearfield Co (December, 1902)
Average review score:

Chandler CorrectionsMost of the Chandler materials in this book and its second printing contain substantial errors of fact and interpretation about Chandlers in early Virginia and Maryland. Dr. Tucker now agrees. See my article in "Tidewater Virginia Families," Volume 9, Number 3, November/December 2000, pp. 140-151 and my other articles in TVF - 2000 and 2001. Additional articles clarifying many early Virginia and Maryland Chandler families will be published in 2002 and (likely) 2003.

Marilyn Monroe
Published in Paperback by Sutton Publishing (September, 1998)
Average review score:

Marilyn would be turning in her grave if she read this book!Yet another book by authors who are utterly unfamiliar with their subject. With all the great books on Monroe out there, why, oh why do authors with absolutely no intimate knowledge of Marilyn keep turning out this drivel? I recommend that you don't waste your time or money on THIS one! The pictures are rehashed oldies that we've all seen a million times before, and so are the stories. Poor Marilyn, will they ever let you rest in peace and stop inventing new insanities about you?

Marilyn's Men: The Private Life of Marilyn Monroe
Published in Hardcover by St. Martin's Press (August, 1992)
Average review score:

Choose AnotherThere are many wonderful and interesting books on Marilyn Monroe out there, including in ( ),so why pick this one?It is not particularly good at all.It talks about Marilyn's many relationships, affairs, marriages and stripping in a bar for 20 dollars. There is not much of interest and even the writing is not particularly fantastic.I read it because I like marilyn, but really this one is just pages of uninteresting drivel.

A Parent's Guide to Houston Private Schools
Published in Paperback by Hervey's Booklink & Cookbook Warehouse (August, 1998)
Average review score:

old and incompleteThis is an out dated book {1998}and was not helpful at all. I live in Northwest Houston and this book did not even list what is a well established private school with over 500 students that is in my area. I would definitely not recommend this book to anyone looking for a private school if they want current and acurate information. It is a rip-off.
